Hey guys, if you have anything you’d love to see on the art wall please let me know. We need to put some new things up to showcase everyone’s new stuff, or even old stuff for that matter. We just need to put up something different! So email me if you have any questions and feel free to talk to Shaneese also. If you have any files ready to print just email them to me with the specifics. Thanks guys!!

Hello my fellow interactive peoples. I’m working at a company called touchwood creative and we could really use some part time help, 2 or 3 people actually. We need help correcting xml (like typos or other simple corrections). If you understand code or just how tags work you’d most likely be good to go. We also have a large flash project to get out. An understanding in flash 8 is important. Hours are flexible and pay would be somewhere between $12 - $16 depending on your skill set. Please contact me if you are interested. Include a resume if you have one and your technical background. It would be helpful if you let me know how many hours you would like to work. Below is an outline of skills needed for our most current project.
- Experience editing graphics in Photoshop and Illustrator
Developers will need to be able to crop and maybe tweak screenshots of the respective web apps for use inside the Flash animation. The ability to mimic set styles is greatly appreciated.
- Experience creating timeline based animations
Developers will be taking the aforementioned screenshots and animating them inside flash. Animation types include showing the user clicking on buttons, filling out form fields, manipulating a slider control, and scrolling.
- Access to Flash 8. All swfs will need to be Flash 8 player compatible
- Development Platform preference isn’t a huge issue. Just keep in mind the developer will have to watch WMV’s which isn’t inherent of OSX.
- Experience importing mp3’s into Flash and animating in sync with audio.

‘ello everybo’y!
I hope that fall break is leaving nothing to be desired for anyone. I mean, really, could you ask for better weather?? (And yet, I know some of you think you could.. pshh).
Anyway, I just wanted to be sure to mention that our next meeting is this coming Thursday. Yes, THIS Thursday, the 25th of October, the first Thursday back, SIX days from which I am currently writing this wall post! I know you all are very excited. Free food as always!! (If anyone has requests, I’d love to hear them!) -Rm 202 at 9:30pm.-
Also, if anyone has ideas for the club to do (i.e. workshops, speakers, …plans for total school domination..) come armed to share them. I have some ideas, but no one likes to hear me blather. SO.. give me company!
One last thanks to everyone who showed up at Joel’s last Saturday! It was jolly good fun. And to those who missed out, don’t be forlorn! We shall congregate again.
Sincerely yours,
Leah

Hey all!!
Just a reminder the Fall BBQ is at my place this weekend.
I am going with a Mexican theme so there will be all kinds of meats, veggies, cheeses, tortillas, shells etc.
Bring a friend and something to eat/drink/share. If you have a favorite salsa or guac that would be great, but it doesn’t have to match with the theme.
OK to come without bringing anything too!
All Websterites welcome. We will be starting things at about 3pm, eats at 5:30ish. My phone is 314-962-6525
BTW We have set up so that we can accomodate the weather if everything has to be inside.
Also, if anyone wants to hook up a second Xbox or Wii bring one along. We have 5 locations set up for video gaming around the house (3 open if someone brings systems)
