Just to let you know I have gotten requests for recommendations for 8 of you from SIGGRAPH for SV work. The following students have received recs from me so far. Good Luck! to all of you, and for those of you who are not SVs start asking your relatives, friends, deans, student government assoc., etc. to get the funds to make the trip.

Think of it as a class that has very direct and significant impact on your careers and lives. The costs are similar and the value is clear.

Siggraph hotel booking becomes available tomorrow, March 1st. We need to figure out where we want to room as soon as possible, so we don’t hit the same snags as last year.

My mom suggested the Holiday Inn, which is right across the street. They don’t give a discount and she thinks the nightly rate is $170. I’m not sure where to look on AMC’s site to get a list of Siggraph sponsored hotels, so if anyone does please shot that out.

I was hoping to discuss this at the last meeting, but thanks to Jack Frost and his Merry Blizzard that didn’t happen. We need to get this taken care of A.S.A.P.

Anyone have any idea when the volunteers are announced? I think some are waiting on that before booking rooms.
