Hey all,

This is Nick Metcalf, I’m the intern leaving Touchwood Creative.

I just wanted to say that this is an awesome opportunity to gain some real world experience in the interactive development industry. Despite being focused on 3d development at Webster U, I still gained much knowledge that will be invaluable from both a business and interactive standpoint while at Touchwood.

However I would recommend any person interested in this internship to have more of a focus in interactive development with applications such as Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver rather then 3D.

Of course you don’t need to know these applications inside and out, and the people at Touchwood will certainly work with you and help develop your skill set. Still the person applying should be familiar with these applications and have a special interest in at least one of them.

If anyone has any questions about this opportunity feel free to ask here or if you see me up at school.

Brad feel free to correct me if I’m wrong on any of this stuff.

See you all around campus soon,

Thanks!

Just in case anyone is wondering why I never posted a summary of Sunday's meeting...

There was not a large turnout, but we decided on the hotel which was the main thing.

I'll go over it again at the Siggraph meeting on May 1, which is actually tonight (I really need to get some sleep) for anyone who did not come Sunday and does not have their rooming plans taken care of already.

Thanks for clearing that up. I haven't purchased my ticket for this year yet. So I was not completely sure of this years date. Better to be safe than sorry, so thats why I posted it. I still think it would be good for everyone to sign up for the mailing list though, there is a lot of good information you get from it.

It's always been Monday-Friday for the 2008 conference, the only reason they're making this announcement is because the conference is usually Sunday-Thursday. The dates have been the same since they announced it, they're probably just clarifying for people who were making false assumptions based on previous conferences.
